This building represents one of many thousands of general purpose buildings that could be seen throughout the GWR network.

Originally sited on the Up platform at Henley-in-Arden in Warwickshire it was lifted in one piece and transported to Kidderminster by lorry. We recovered a GWR Lamp Hut at the same time.

Following nearly two years of steady restoration, it now fulfills both a useful new storage facility for the SVR as well as proving historic accuracy to another area of the Station. It sets the atmosphere for the whole Bay Platform area.
