This GWR Lamp Hut was recovered from Henley in Arden. It was removed along with a Parcels Building, as part of a redundant building removals initiative by Railtrack. The hut built by local firm 'Joseph Ash & Son' of Birmingham, is of corrugated sheeting covering an angle iron inner frame. The firm has provided help and support during its restoration. November 2000 has seen the completion of the lamphut/paint store. All the cladding has been replaced, the window has been refurbished and fully glazed. The building has had a full repaint and original BR(W) warning signs complete the look. | ||

It is seen here in use as a general purpose store at the end of the Bay Platform. |
